Well, ok, it's not impressive as of yet, but my proof-of-concept jusing a bitmask works like a charm (just tested it in five minutes...). So I'm confident I'll have the kind of lights I want tomorrow...

Now, I need to compute the boundary of a weird polygon... Then maybe, soft shadows ?

I dont know if this is your final light area but I found it very large. Since your level will not be huge, dont you think a smaller torch will be funnier?

No, no, clearly this is a proof of concept to check if my approach to lighting was correct. Now I'm going to do a correct dynamic light. You'll see, it'll be much more awesome :p
